Is the Champions League shelved?

The Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) ambitious Twenty20 tournament, the Champions League, which was to be held in October, has reportedly been shelved without giving any reason.

Indian Premier League (IPL) commissioner Lalit Modi has informed stakeholders about plans to drop the ambitious project a couple of days ago, without giving the reason behind it, according to a report in The Economic Times.
