Champions League T20 called off for now

The Governing Council of the Champions League Twenty20 has decided that the inaugural edition of the Champions League Twenty20 will now be played in India in October 2009. The event scheduled for 2008 has been cancelled, according to a statement released by Indian Premier League.

Champions League Twenty20 is an international tournament featuring the best teams of the domestic Twenty20 tournaments of various nations. The Third edition of the Champions League Twenty20 tournament is scheduled to be played in India from 23 September 2011 to 9 Oct 2011.
