ECB refuses Owais Shah and Andrew Strauss participation in Champions League Twenty20

England have refused Owais Shah and Andrew Strauss permission to break off from the England tour to play for their county next month. Middlesex's reserves have been further weakened by the organisers deciding they can only field players who were on the club's books when they qualified for the Champions League by winning the Twenty20 Cup in July.
