Doctors rule Nathan Bracken out of Champions League Twenty20 event

New South Wales quick Nathan Bracken has been ruled out of the Champions League Twenty20 tournament after booking in for arthroscopic surgery on his troublesome knee.

The pace bowler consulted specialists in Sydney and Melbourne this week after being sent home from the ICC Champions Trophy.

"Nathan has been booked in for arthroscopic surgery next week," Cricket Australia doctor Trefor James said on Thursday.
